What is "Sew to Save"?
In collaboration with Velda Wang and Pamela Esquivel, I started a project in April of 2020 called "Sew to Save" which makes hand-sewn cloth masks for groups in need of them. After spreading awareness of the project, we have raised $1500 to buy mask-making materials like fabric, elastic, thread, etc. So far we have made over 2200 masks in total and donated to local places in Atlanta such as Emory Healthcare Clinic, Atlanta Mission Homeless Shelter, Village Vets Animal Hospital, Parkview High School Staff, Lilburn Library, and many more.

How You Can Help
In order to make these masks for our Atlanta community, we depend on you for your contributions!
-
Any monetary donations to our Go Fund Me at https://gf.me/u/xw29iq will allow us to buy the materials (fabric, elastic, thread, etc.) that we need to make masks.
-
If you have any unused fabric, elastic, or thread lying around the house that you would like to donate, it would be appreciated. For any questions about how to donate materials, please contact us at nurturejoy.org@gmail.com
